Maidenhair fern (Adiantum pedatum)

Graceful fern with dark purple to black stems and a fragile, fan shaped fronds that spread horizontally 6-12 inches above the soil.  Fern of moist woods and does best in neutral to slightly alkaline soils.  Rhizome is creeping.
