Bishop’s Cap (Mitella diphylla)
A May spring woodland wildflower with paired rough toothed leaves wrapped on a slender stem. Small white snowflake-like flowers line up alternately above the leaves. Common to moist woods, banks of creeks, and fallen decaying trees. Without flowers, can be readily confused with foam flower (Tiarella cordifolia).
