A native perennial with showy white to pink flowers and large green leaves. The flowers attract numerous pollinators, and monarch butterflies lay their eggs on the underside of leaves. Milkweed species are the only food source for monarch caterpillars and are vital host plant. Milkweed species serve as valuable components of the pollinator friendly garden.
