Joe-pye weed (Eutrochium maculatum)
Perennial wildflower common to wet meadows, moist woods, marshes, and floodplains. Pink flowers atop tall (up to 6 feet tall) stems attract butterflies and bees. Toothed leaves whorl around the stem at multiple heights. Frequently found with boneset, blue vervain, and New England aster. An ideal plant in pollinator garden.
