Our Story

Green Mountain Natives is the online retail division of Vermont Wetland Plant Supply. Green Mountain Natives primarily grows Vermont-provenance plants (other ecotypes/seed sources noted in each species description) for the home gardener looking to build or enhance wildlife habitats for pollinating species and birds. Daniel Redondo (owner, Sr. Aquatic Ecologist) founded VWPS in 2007 as Vermont’s only full-service wholesale native plant nursery in support of the stormwater management and ecological restoration industries. Over the past several years (especially during the first COVID year), the home gardener inquiries for VWPS’ native plants soared. GMN is our attempt to meet that demand. We hope your birds and pollinators enjoy our plants. And most importantly, we hope our plants bring you joy.
