Attractive multi-flowered perennial common to meadows and woodland edges. Numerous pale yellow flowers attract butterflies (in particular monarch and swallowtail species) and bees. Sometimes confused with black eye susan, but drooping petals and the exposed central dome of dark florets. Spreads readily via seed.
